Morayfield Shopping Centre is celebrating and acknowledging awesome local Dads this Father’s Day.
They have scoured the region high and low, seeking nominations from the young and old for Morayfield’s Father of the Year. Nominees are in the running to win a slice of the $16,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, including a first prize of $5,000.
From inspirational role models to every day heros – our dads are pretty cool. Whether they’re bailing us out of parking fines, dropping us off at school, cooking us the best cheese toasties, or putting in a fourth load of washing for us, sure we’ll hear all about it, but we love them for doing it.
The nominations have rolled in but help is needed from the public to vote for the winner and the top dads. You can cast your vote from 17 August online by visiting: www.morayfieldshoppingcentre.com.au
Will you vote for Morris’s dad? Morris nominated his dad for always being there for him—even in the gym.
“My dad is my own personal trainer, my coach and my hero. He’s always taking us everywhere. He takes me to training every day.”
Or will you vote for Isabel’s dad? “My dad is a huge geek. He’s into Star Wars and gaming, but he’s my best friend.”
“He’s there whenever I need him, no matter what I need him for, even if he’s angry at me,” Isabel says.

The epic prizes up for grabs for the top 15 dads include $5,000 in cash for Morayfield’s Father of the Year, $3,000 in cash for the second runner-up, $2,000 in cash for the third runner-up, and those who land in the top 15 without scoring the top 3 prizes will receive a generous $500 gift card each to spend at Morayfield Shopping Centre.
Winners will be announced on Friday 4th September.
