New Dakabin Hotel Plans Unveiled

Joshua East

Queensland hospitality company, the Comiskey Group, has unveiled the first artist impressions of the new Dakabin Hotel. The pub, situated on a sprawling 3.75-hectare land on the corner of Alma and Old Gympie Road, is set to become a vibrant entertainment hub with its very own indoor basketball court.

With a development cost of $35 million, the Dakabin Hotel is expected to be completed by mid-to-late 2024 and will be accompanied by a $15 million on-site shopping precinct. The shopping centre will host a variety of well-known multinational tenants, including Guzman Y Gomez, KFC, Zarraffa's, and a NightOwl service station.

Director Rob Comiskey said he had received a large amount of leasing enquiries and has confirmed some major brands will be opening soon.

"Dakabin is a massive growth area, not to mention its close proximity to the thriving North Lakes community; it really is a great opportunity for leasing,” Rob said.

“Our Dakabin development is in a high-profile location on the main road, offering great visibility right opposite Woolworths. We do have a few tenancies left, and we are looking for businesses that we believe will be well-suited to the area; if you think that's you, then, by all means, get in touch!”

The Comiskey Group anticipates the remaining tenancies will be filled soon and invites leasing enquiries via hello@comiskey.com.au.

In addition to the shopping precinct, the Dakabin Hotel will house a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining options, a sports bar with TAB facilities, a gaming room, a large kid's room with an indoor basketball court, and more features yet to be announced.

Director David Comiskey said the Dakabin Hotel will begin taking shape in the coming months.

"The earthworks are nearing completion, and we will commence the concrete footings very soon,” David said.

“In just a few months, Dakabin Hotel will start to take shape, and the progress should be exciting to watch. We had been working on the design of the development for over a year. We put a lot of effort into it, and so we were very eager to release the artist impressions when they were complete. It's great to finally be able to show the community what we have planned. We hope you can see by the quality of the build that we have made every effort to deliver a world-class venue to Dakabin for all to enjoy.”
