Building has begun on the first homes in Stockland’s exciting new Promenade Rothwell community, heralding a major milestone as construction of the $44 million project gains momentum.
David Laner, Queensland General Manager for Residential Communities at Stockland, said new roads including the recently constructed Promenade Circuit marked a new phase in the project by providing access to more than 120 home sites in the first two stages.
“The community is a hive of construction activity and with the initial civil works now complete, builders have begun laying the foundations of the first homes and we anticipate welcoming our first residents later this year,’’ Mr Laner said.
“The start of construction on homes is an important milestone in the life of any community. We’re delighted with the continued strong interest in Promenade Rothwell – it’s convenient, centrally located and outstanding value for money, which makes it the perfect choice for first homebuyers in particular.
“Our nearby communities at Newport and North Lakes have also been extremely popular and we are looking forward to seeing Promenade Rothwell becoming a highly liveable, well-connected community to suit many budgets and buyers from all walks of life.’’
Located 35 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD and 66 kilometres from Caloundra, the community will ultimately comprise around 190 homes positioned close to walking and cycle paths, parks, schools, public transport, shopping, dining and entertainment.
Seven parks, two private schools and a childcare centre are all within a 1.5 kilometre radius of future homes and a local shopping centre is just a few minutes away by car.
Rothwell Train Station and Rothwell Shopping Centre are both around two kilometres from Promenade Rothwell, which also features easy access to the Moreton Bay Cycleway and a major bus route.
The new community will offer a large range of quality homes to suit all budgets and potential homebuyers can explore the latest home designs at a brand new Display Village on the corner of Endeavour Boulevard and Plantation Road at North Lakes.
Lots currently available are priced from $238,900. House and land packages are priced from $381,285.

What’s in a name:
A suite of street names for the first stages of Promenade Rothwell, approved by Moreton Bay Regional Council, give a nod to the Moreton Bay region:
Mirapool Street: Named after Mirapool Lagoon, which is considered a sanctuary for wildlife on southern end of Moreton Island.
Edgewater Avenue: The street runs along the northern edge of Promenade Rothwell close to wetlands.
Ancora Street: A twist of the word “anchor’’, owing to Moreton Bay’s many spots for safe harbour.
Paperbark Street: A native tree and a feature of Moreton Bay.
