Whip out those leg warmers, oversized blazers and bold colours as the 80s takes over North Lakes Sports Club for one night only, on Friday 31st August.
The Discovery Nightclub’s We Are 80s Party will give members and guests an overload of 80s party classics mixed by DJ Les-Boss.
General Manager Chris Sartori said this new event was the first of its kind at the club.
“This is our first nightclub style party event and will be trialled with a view to broadening our range of entertainment options for members,” Mr Sartori said.
“We already provide a mix of free weekly entertainment including soloists and a DJ on Friday nights, bands on Saturday nights and our Sunday Afternoon acoustic session, but we are excited to bring this DJ themed event to a Friday night for members.
“The Discovery Lounge will be themed up for the night with an 80s inspired dancefloor, lighting, furniture and theming.
“We have had many requests for an 80s themed night and know it’s always a popular genre choice among the young and young at heart.
“We’ll also be encouraging all staff & patrons to dress up in their best 80’s costumes, with prizes for best dressed on the night.
Tickets to the 18+ event can be pre-purchased for $10 and includes a drink on arrival. Tickets on the night are $15 at the door, subject to availability.
