Petbarn Morayfield and Petbarn North Lakes, in partnership with RSPCA Queensland, are inviting locals to come in-store to help celebrate World Cat Day on Wednesday, 8 August. On the day, locals will have the opportunity to meet some of the loveable cats available for adoption who are looking to find their fur-ever homes.
Petbarn North Lakes Store Manager, Bec Lill, says: “We are so excited to be celebrating World Cat Day in-store again this year. It’s a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the unconditional love and joy that our feline friends bring to us every day.”
“Cats make wonderful pets as they’re affectionate yet independent. They are renowned for their companionship, playful nature and self-sufficiency, making a great addition to any family. If you have been thinking about welcoming a new feline friend into your home, World Cat Day is the perfect time to come in-store and meet some of the adorable cats and kittens available for adoption,” says Bec.
“On the day, our aim is to find as many perfect pairings as possible so that these rescue animals can find loving forever homes,” Bec continues.
If Moreton Bay locals happen to find their new best friend on the day at Petbarn, they will be able to go through the pet adoption process in-store. Otherwise if locals are not quite ready to adopt on the spot, they are welcome to return anytime throughout the year to make their adoption pledge.
All cats and kittens up for adoption are vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and health checked to ensure they get the best start possible in their new home. Importantly, while the adoption fee set by the local charity is collected by Petbarn, 100% of the fee is returned to the charity.
Petbarn is ecstatic to announce the continuing success of their pet adoption program. Through the Petbarn Foundation, Petbarn has partnered with and supported rescue organisations and pet related charities since 2012 to save more than 30,000 pet animal lives nationally.
