Caboolture Rugby Union Semi-Professional U19 Program Launch

The 2017 Rugby Union off-season is about to commence and aspiring young Rugby players in the Moreton Bay region can now sign up to participate in one of the most dynamic player development programs available for 18 & 19 year old players offered in recent memory.

From early September, the Club will be taking registrations for the 2018 season intake for players born 1999 & 2000.

Players will receive full strength & conditioning support including full gym fees, full player wellbeing support including pre/post injury screening & prevention along with ongoing physio support and access to industry professionals. Players will also receive full allocation of gym and training kit along with the highest quality coaching available at the club.

Caboolture Rugby Union Club Rugby Manager Grant Dwyer said the Club had already received a large number of enquiries about registering to play Under 19 rugby in 2018 and the club is seeking players in all positions.

“The interest in Rugby Union in Caboolture region has really grown over the last few years and we are getting more and more enquiries at registration time each year,” said Grant Dwyer. “We have a number of new programs that are really attracting the attention, namely our primary schools rugby 7’s school sport gala days, our junior academy which caters for U10 – U17 age groups and now the Under 19 Elite Player Development Program which really separates us form other clubs and sports in our region”

“There’s no other program in the region that I am aware of that provides such a high quality of wrap around support for aspiring athletes, and potentially players have the opportunity to be involved in the program for 2 years before they transition to senior grade rugby” Dwyer said.

“The program has been supported by long standing and high profile businesses namely, Moreton All Body Care, Genesis Fitness at Morayfield and McDonalds Caboolture area which also shows how far we have developed our community engagement side of the club.” It’s an easy sell to potential sponsors when you have such a high quality product to be part of” expressed Rugby Manager Grant Dwyer.
